1.UPSC Civil Services Exam
Civil Services Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit for various Central Government posts such as IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). It is believed to be the most lucrative job in India.
This exam has three levels, namely:
- a. Preliminary exam (Civil Services Aptitude Test, also known as SCAT)
- b. Main exam
- c. Interview or personality test.
Every year around 9 lakh candidates appear for this exam but only a very few ones crack all the levels. The pass percentage for this exam is approximately around 0.1 to 0.3 percent.
2.IIT- JEE (JEE Advanced)
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national level examination for students to qualify to pursue engineering degree at under graduate level. Paper 1 is held for BE / B.Tech admissions and Paper for B.Arch / B.Planning. Difference between JEE Main and Advanced
The JEE Main is for those students who are aspiring to study in India’s top-most engineering colleges including NITs, IIITs, CFTIs. To get admission in IITs and ISM Dhanbad student has to go through JEE Advanced.
Those students who clear JEE Main are allowed to take the JEE advanced – which is perquisite requirement for admission in the Indian Institute Of Technology and Indian School Of Mines (Dhanbad).
3.Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
GATE exam (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a computer-based standardized test conducted at the national level in India with an aim to examine the understanding of various engineering and science undergraduate subjects. GATE Eligibility
The following students are eligible to take the GATE exam -- Bachelor’s degree students in Final Year of Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 year program after 10+2) programs
- Master’s degree students Final Year in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent
4.Common Admission Test (CAT)
CAT is conducted to facilitate admission to the premier management colleges or B-Schools in India – the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and some other institutes. Students appearing for CAT are tested on Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Verbal ability skills.
Reason For Being Toughest: Only 1500 candidates out of 2 lakh people get into the IIMs every year. That makes it one of the toughest entrance exams conducted in India.
5.AIIMS UG

AIIMS is conducted by the prestigious All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi to select candidates for admission to the seven campuses of AIIMS. Since AIIMS is the topmost medical college in India, every medical aspirant dreams of pursuing their MBBS from AIIMS.
6.NEET UG
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2020 (NEET (UG) - 2020) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will be made through NEET. The eligibility criteria applicable to appear in NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to the candidates desirous to take admission to INIs like AIIMS.
Similarly, the criteria for minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for admission to MBBS course shall also be applicable to INIs. Further, the common counseling for admission to MBBS course in these INIs shall be conducted by the DGHS as per the Time Schedule specified in the MCI’s regulations.
The NEET (UG) - 2020 will be conducted on Sunday, the 03 May, 2020 . The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank Merit List” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for providing the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.
7.National Institute Of Design Entrance Exam
This exam is a design aptitude entrance exam, conducted to test the design skills of the candidates and select them for admission to the premier National Institutes of Design (NIDs). During the first round of this entrance exam, candidates are tested in various areas of designing, such as perception, attitude, aptitude, achievement, and motivation. Shortlisted candidates from the first round will move onto second round which is a personal interview to enter best the designing colleges in India.
